Scanning a Document
Tap Scan document and allow the camera when your browser asks. Hold the page in view: the edges are found and the page is captured automatically (turn Auto off to capture by hand). Adjust the corners if needed, rotate or enhance, then save, or scan the next page. Scan from photos turns pictures you already have into clean, straight scans.
Opening and Editing a PDF
Tap Open PDF or Blank document. Pick a tool along the toolbar: Edit text changes the text already in the PDF, and Text, Draw, Highlight, Box, White-out, Image and Date add to the page. Sign adds your signature; the signatures you save are kept on this device for next time.
Pages, Merging and Export
Open the page view to add, rotate, reorder, duplicate, extract or delete pages. On the home screen, Merge joins documents. Export saves a PDF, or converts it to Word, Excel, PowerPoint or images; the PDF tools also add page numbers, protect a PDF with a password and compress it. Converted Office files keep the text and layout as closely as possible, so check them before you send them.
Text Recognition (OCR)
Scan to text reads the words in a scan, in English or Filipino. The first time, the app downloads the language data from jpam.studio (about 3 MB for English, 1.5 MB for Filipino) and keeps it on your device for next time. Recognition runs on your device.
QR Codes
Tap Scan with camera or From image in the QR code section. Links, Wi-Fi details, contacts, phone numbers and locations open with the right action. Codes are read on your device, and History keeps your last 40 codes on this device.
Where Your Documents Are Kept
Your documents and scans are saved in your browser on this device and never uploaded. Clearing your browser’s data, using a private window, or switching to another device starts fresh, so export anything you want to keep. If your browser can’t save documents, the app tells you, and your work lasts only until you close the page.
The Intro
A short intro plays each time you open the app. Tap Skip to go straight in, or tap the logo to watch it again.
Offline Use
After your first visit the app opens without an internet connection. Text recognition and Office export need their tools once with a connection; after that they work offline too. On a phone, add the app to your home screen from your browser’s Share or Menu option.
