Everything you need to build, defend and raid in Asterhold, the free kingdom strategy game from JPAM Studio.
How to Play
Build a kingdom on your own island, train a small army, and raid six bandit outposts across the realm of Asterfall. Each outpost teaches one idea: deployment, ranged support, tanking, walls, splash damage, and finally everything together. Earn at least one crest to unlock the next outpost.
A short tutorial walks you through your first few minutes: collect gold, build a Barracks and an Army Camp, train six Militia, and win your first raid.
Your Kingdom
- Gold Mines and Lumber Yards fill up over time. Tap the bubble above them to collect. Timber pays for buildings and gold pays for troops.
- Your Town Hall sets how much you can store and which buildings and levels you can have. Upgrade it to unlock more.
- One builder works on one building at a time. Walls are instant.
- Moving buildings is free. Tap a building, then Move, and drag it to a new spot.
Your Army
- Militia: cheap fighters, strong in numbers.
- Ranger: shoots from range but is fragile. Keep someone in front.
- Shieldguard (Barracks level 2): heads for towers and mortars and takes their fire.
- Sapper (Barracks level 3): smashes walls fast.
Veterans: troops that come home alive become veterans, with 25% more health and damage and a gold plume. Veterans go into battle first, so keep them alive.
Raids
Pick a troop and tap open ground outside the red area. Hold your finger down to drop several at once. Troops attack the nearest building on their own. You earn a crest for 50% destruction, one for the Town Hall, and one for 100%.
- Rally banner: twice per raid, tap Rally and then a spot. For a few seconds your whole army attacks the buildings nearest the banner.
- Supply relays: the glowing obelisks on later outposts. Keep troops beside one for a few seconds and free reinforcements march out of it.
- After the raid, the results screen explains what happened and how to do better next time.
Defending Your Kingdom
Once you clear the second outpost, bandits follow your trail. You get a warning, then they attack. Watchtowers, Mortars and Walls defend on their own, and you can tap the map to fire three arrow volleys yourself. If bandits reach your mines or Town Hall, they carry off resources. Your buildings are always repaired for free.
Use the Defence drill in the Attack menu to send practice bandits at your layout any time. Nothing is lost.
Daily Orders
Three small goals each day, such as collecting gold or winning a raid, each with a bonus of gold and timber. Missing a day costs you nothing.
Controls
- Move the camera: drag with one finger or the mouse.
- Zoom: pinch, or use the mouse wheel.
- Placing buildings: drag the building, then tap Place. On a keyboard, R rotates, Enter places and Esc cancels.
- Battle speed: tap Speed during a battle to play at ×2 or ×3.
Playing Offline
After your first visit, Asterhold works without an internet connection. You can add it to your home screen: on iPhone or iPad, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android, open the browser menu and tap Install app or Add to Home screen.
Your Progress
Your kingdom is saved automatically in your browser on this device, with a backup copy. Clearing your browser data, using a private browsing window, or playing on a different device or browser starts a new kingdom.
To start over on purpose, open the menu and choose Start a new kingdom.
